Sony has a hard time in keeping up with the some other cell phone manufacturers. They have not been successful in producing good quality mobile phones for years and they try to get into the top of the cell phone deals with their new model called Xperia Arc.
This model is remarkable to say the least. They have introduced a number of new features as compared to all the models that Sony producers. They focused on supplying the best internet connectivity that it is achievable in the present. The telephone offers 3G and Wi-Fi communication. The 3G system used by Sony delivers speeds of up to 7.2 mbps. This is the current standard world wide web speed that can be used on most of the current cell phone deals that you can come across on the market. I had the opportunity to test the way the mobile phone does when using 3G internet access and I have to admit that the phone works well. I had no difficulties in loading Youtube and seeking some hot music clips. The streaming was terrific and I had a top notch time by listening to the songs I love.
The downside of using the 3G connection is that it will deplete your battery pack extremely fast. You will end up with no battery in about an hour of usage. If you want to overcome this issue you must use the Wi-fi connectivity. To use it you must be located in a spot that has coverage and you must know the credentials of the internet provider. In many places you can find free hotspots that do not require any type of credentials to use the internet connection.
After connecting to the hotspot you will have to wait for one or two seconds. The mobile phone runs some software applications in the background in order to sync with the connection. When it is ready you will be able to use the web.
The internet browser used by Xperia Arc is not a usual one. If you are not accustomed to it and you do not like it, you may download another one from the Android market. You can actually choose from all the widely used browsers like Chrome, Opera and others.
For those that use the mobile phone for internet activity this is a fantastic mobile phone. I would not choose another phone for online browsing since the performances are good and the price is decent. The more fancier models will make you invest lots of money.
